The news comes as Paramount Network prepares to relaunch as a general entertainment network.

The channel is set to replace Spike TV, and will focus on scripted and unscripted programming with an emphasis on premium original content.

Pokémon has enjoyed success on other networks in the past.

The Pokémon the Series: XYZ anime series aired on Cartoon Network in the United States.
